Teachers' and Freshers' Day Celebration

Date: September 5, 2014
Indian Institute of Psychology and Research celebrated Teachers day and Fresher's day on 5th student body of IIPR; and coordinated by the Extra Curricular Activity Committee (ECAC) of the college. The anchors for the event were the students from BA Mr. Shouvik Sarkar and Ms. Maria Samreen.

The programme began with an invocation song by Ms. Samyukta Jagdish; a melodious Bengali song by Ms. Sayantani Sinha and an invocation dance by few students of PG course calling upon God to grace the occasion. There were musical performances by the PG and UG students.

The ECAC then organized a game of musical chairs for the teachers and a game of paper dancing for the students. After the excitement and fun a refreshment break was given. Upon everyone's return, the Mr and Ms Fresher contest was held. The contest took place in three rounds across which the students had to walk the ramp and give a brief introduction about them, the talent round and enact a situation for the question answer round.

The boys of UG and PG section gave a surprise in the form of a dance performance that was enjoyed by the audience. The members of the faculty of IIPR who were present for the programme took turns to share their delight on the occasion. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Swathi Prabhu from the PG section, thus concluding the day's events.
