Special lecture on 'Psychotherapy in the Indian Context' by Dr. Gireesh, IACP President, Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists.

The college organized a guest lecture on "Psychotherapy in the Indian Context". The esteemed guest invited for the talk was Dr. Gireesh Krishnan, President Elect and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He spoke about the past and present practices of psychotherapy in India. His talk include lecture of transcultural differences, and indigenous psychology. He also gave examples from his cases on the nature of clinical problems seen in India. The program came to a close with Dr. Sunita K. Damodar giving a vote of thanks and Dr. Elizabeth Jasmine presenting Dr. Gireesh Krishnan with a token of appreciation.
