World Suicide Prevention Outreach Program - Street play - The Forum

10th of September 2017 every year is observed as World Suicide Prevention Day. The theme for this year is ?Take a minute, change a life?. With the sensation created by news reports on increasing number of farmer suicides in different states in India and the recent suicide of a medical seat aspirant in TN, it is imperative that Prevention of Suicide should get the attention of the Public. In this regard, on Monday, 11th of September, the students of our college organized a street play programme at the college premises between 3pm and 4.30pm followed by a public awareness programme between 5 pm ? 5.30pm at the Forum Mall, Koramangala were many people gathered to understand how important it is to take a minute to help other who are in need to support system in our society. Students displayed related posters and distributed flyers on the theme of Suicide Prevention. The objective is to sensitize the public, create awareness, spread the message of hope and on ways in which it could be prevented for public interest. we were also appreciated the Mr G. Manjunath, BBMP Corporator of SG Palya (Suddaguntepalya), who also address the gathered people about the importance of helping those in need of mental health and improving quality of health.
